Lifetimes in Harmony (LIH) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2026 that seeks to provide music, created by passionate, skilled teenage musicians, to the elderly of New York City. We believe that all New Yorkers should be able to experience the joys of music, regardless of their age or physical capabilities.
From rehearsal rooms to senior living communities, we create space for student musicians to share their passion—and for older adults to experience the joy of live music.
Based in New York City, LIH brings ensembles to senior citizen centers and assisted living communities throughout the Tri-state area.

Play your music in public spaces and at senior care centers near you with other musicians your age.
As a volunteer, you work alongside ambassadors from your school to perform at senior citizen homes in your community. As a volunteer, you have the ability to make significant change and impact through means of your music without carrying all the responsibilities of an ambassador.
Apply as a volunteerAs an ambassador, you are a leader who works to open a branch of LIH within your school. You can then organize ensembles with fellow musicians from your school, performing at senior citizen homes around your area. Being an ambassador is a commitment, however, it allows you to start a new chapter of LIH within your own community, changing your surroundings for the better.
